I offer design reviews that show you and the architect areas of the design that have overlooked elements of the project goals, code, or areas that could be improved. I have reviewed hundreds of high end homes and can help your design project have the best possible outcome.

I can do:

  • Design consultation and review for single family residences - home design is a manifestation of your family’s values in physical space and materials. There are thousands of decisions to make in a process that you may only do once in your life. You can have another person on your side to help guide you through the relationship with your architect or builder and make sure you’re getting a great home!

  • Peer review, IBC/IRC compliance, and coordination review for small projects - Another set of eyes and redlines, or document coordination and finalization, to get your set out the door.

  • Hourly third party design review for small architecture firms - Do you need someone to help with an approaching deadline but can’t hire someone new full time? I can help meet your deadline.

  • Plan compliance review for HOAs - I can take your existing HOA rules, help create or edit the HOA rules with you, and I can provide reports that review proposed projects within the community.

A Design “Once-Over”

$175

Includes one hour of design review with markups and a follow up video call to share and review the marked up design with the owner.

Detailed Review

$0.50 per square foot

For homes up to 7,000 square feet / 650 square meters, this review is for an overall assessment of how well a design is meeting the goals of the owner. The review includes design notes and a marked up version of design. The review will also include IRC/IBC compliance checking, cost optimization suggestions, coordination issues checking, and will check any provided details for appropriateness.

Commercial or Complex Project Review

$1 per gross square foot

For larger homes and small commercial projects with multiple designers and engineers in multiple disciplines, this review will check how well a design is meeting the goals of the owner and end users. This review includes design notes and a design report issued with screenshots and notes. A full RediCheck audit will be performed checking relevant code, coordination, and provided details. Cost optimizations will be noted as they are encountered.
